The Best Argan Oil Products For Your Beard
Contents
Have you been comparing your wiry, dull beard with other guys who seem to have what it takes to grow a healthy looking full beard? Are you left wondering if it's just genetics that leaves you looking like a homeless guy because of your beard?
I'm going to bet it's just because those other guys with the nice looking beards are using beard products and probably ones that feature argan oil. Not because they were born with a perfect looking beard.
Argan oil products for your hair and skin are all the rage right now.
But what are the benefits of Argan Oil? Does argan oil help beard growth?
Well, let's start with what argan oil is.
Argan oil originates in Morocco and is the oil from the seed of the argan fruit. For centuries Moroccans have been using the oil to treat skin problems and wounds. I'm of the belief that if ancient people found a benefit, then there is generally something to it. Others have the same opinion and researched the benefits of the argan oil and came to the conclusion that it could be used in skin and hair products.
It's rich with vitamin A and vitamin E which contains a chemical called trocopherol which boosts cell production which then promotes healthy skin and hair.

Which is why it is really essential that you use argan oil based products for your beard. Your beard hair is usually much more damaged than the hair on your head. For some reason, people don't take care of their beards, which leads to split ends and dry, unhealthy looking beards.
Using argan oil based beard products will bring your beard back to life. They will keep your skin healthy and help your beard grow faster as a result. And your beard will look better in general whether you keep it long or trimmed.
Don't just grab any product that has argan oil listed in the ingredients, though. If the beard product contains alcohol, parabens or sulfates, then whatever benefit you would get from the argan oil will be nullified.
Also, a beard brush is essential for the application of most of these products. Make sure you get a good boar's hair brush to not damage your beard.
To help, here is a list of the top argan oil based beard products.
Art Naturals Beard Oil and Leave-In Conditioner
I firmly believe in using all organic products for beard, hair and skin. These days they are not only trendy but very effective so I don't see any reason to use beard products with harsh chemicals. Art Naturals makes this beard oil for use as a conditioner.
The essential oils from the Moroccan argan oil and jojoba oils treat the skin and hair follicles keep to help moisturize your beard hair. If you frequently have dry skin lurking under that beard, then it is really important to use a beard oil that conditions the skin like this one does. And, the argan oil repairs the damaged hair preventing split ends so common with beards. Of course trimming the beard occasionally is also a must to get rid of the split, damaged ends of your beard. Check out How to Maintain a Beard for some tips.
Many guys with longer beards will suffer from acne and need a beard oil or conditioner to help treat that. So, make sure you pick this one up if you need some relief from acne since it will clean your clogged pores which leads to acne.
This beard oil has no scent which for some is a big plus.
Strong Men Beard Oil and Leave-In Conditioner
I honestly have not seen too many cases of beard dandruff, or beardruff, in my years as a barber, but, I understand that there are many men that do. If you suffer from beardruff then this beard oil should help with that. Not only is it an argan oil based beard oil, but it also has jojoba oil which helps fight beard dandruff, as well as many other essential oils.
Even if you don't have beardruff, your beard will end up feeling much softer and have a much healthier shine from the various essential oils found in this beard oil.
It's the dry skin and hair that many guys end up with by not taking care of their beards, that leads to itchiness when growing it out. Get rid of that problem by using a good quality beard oil and you won't be temped to shave the thing off at the first sign of itchiness.
This oil does have a scent, however. It is mild and since you're not using too much of the oil, it won't overpower you. But one thing to remember with the scents on beard oils, is that, unlike your hair on your head, your beard is right under your nose, so you will be smelling the scent all day. Make sure you like the scent. Luckily Strong Men will give you your money back if you don't like it.
The price is a bit steep, but a little goes a long way. Just a few drops will do the trick and will last the whole day. If you want quality and 100% natural beard products, then be prepared to spend a bit. The health of your hair and skin is worth it.
Leven Rose Beard Oil and Leave-In Conditioner
Get the pure power of argan oil when you purchase this beard oil and conditioner from Leven Rose. It has only 2 ingredients. Argan oil and jojoba oil. That's it. And it is 100% organic so there are no harsh chemicals to deal with.
It's a small bottle at 1 ounce, but you really only need a couple of drops. That will nourish your beard and keep your skin healthy. Some people claim that the pure argan oil helps their beard grow faster. I don't know if the argan oil is directly responsible for a faster growing beard, but since it does promote cell growth and healthy skin, I can see a beard growing faster because of it.
The other benefit from this argan oil based beard oil is that it is fragrance free. I don't have a beard, but if I had one, I would want fragrance free beard products. Even a scent I like might get annoying if it's right under my nose all day.
Mr. Rugged Beard Balm Conditioner
If you have a longer beard, you could really benefit from a beard balm as opposed to a beard oil. This 99.9% natural beard balm with argan oil has beeswax to coat your beard follicles and not only keep your fly away hairs under control, but can help you style it. If you have a shape to your beard, then a beard balm is the way to go.
The argan oil balm helps repair damaged beard hair and moisturize it leaving it very soft and manageable. But, there are other essential oils, like jojoba, pumpkin seed and olive oil, that also protect your beard from the elements.
If you do have a longer beard then you really need a beard brush for after you apply this beard balm. Your skin needs the benefits of the argan oil and if your beard is long, it might not be getting treated properly. Using the beard brush will ensure that your skin is getting scrubbed with the balm.
Also, for ease of application, make sure your beard is a bit damp. That way it will go on much easier and uniformly, especially if you let the balm warm in your palm before you try to apply it.
This balm does have a scent. It smells like a balsam hair conditioner which does smell really nice. To some that is a plus and to some it is a minus. If you do like having a scented beard balm then I think this is a good one.
The downside to this argan oil beard balm is that the size is small. They say to use a dime sized dose, which doesn't sound like a lot, but when the container is small, it might not last too long.
Honest Amish - Classic Beard Oil
Honest Amish was one of the first beard products we started selling in the barbershop. We liked that they were handmade and natural beard products. And they proved to be a big hit with our bearded customers.
Most guys growing a beard have the same problems with dry skin, itchy face and fly away hairs. This beard oil solves all of those problems and does it with all natural essential oils for your beard. If you have a wiry beard at all and haven't found a product that can actually soften it up, I can tell you that you need to give Honest Amish Classic Beard Oil a shot. It really softens up any beard.
The scent of the classic Honest Amish products is subtle and kind of spicy, but many of the guys that tried it at the shop have said they like the smell of it. As I mentioned earlier, I don't have a beard so I can't say if I would like a scent like that or not since I don't have the chance to try it out. But, if you don't mind a subtle scent then I wouldn't hesitate to try this beard oil.
The use of argan oil as a main ingredient in this beard oil will restore not only the skin and hair of your beard, but really the rest of your face as well, especially if you suffer from dry skin.
Smooth Viking Leave-In Beard Balm and Conditioner 100% Natural
If your beard and skin are dry and you need to get them some hydration, you will love the argan oil in this beard balm. But, what makes this Smooth Viking Beard Balm work well in addition, is that it can really keep your beard under control. So, if your beard is frequently unruly, then you will love the shea butter and beeswax in it.
I really am impressed with how so many beard products are being made with little or no harsh chemicals and can do a great job with natural ingredients. And this beard balm is 100% natural so you can feel good about it being on your beard and skin all day.
It will surely keep your longer beard under control. They recommend using a beard oil and conditioner in addition to the balm and I could see that being useful if you have a particularly wiry beard that won't soften up. But, for most guys I think you could just use the balm and be fine. One thing to keep in mind if you just use the balm and no oil, is that you have to wait a bit for the balm to get absorbed. You might think when you apply it that you didn't use enough and try to put more on there, but it isn't necessary. Just wait about an hour and you will see that a little bit goes a long way.
This beard balm is scented, but, the scent is very neutral and not at all perfumey.
The Gentleman's Beard Bay Rum Beard Oil
Even though I have repeatedly claimed that if I had a beard I would go for fragrance free beard products, I have to make an exception for the Gentleman's Beard Bay Rum Beard Oil. I love the scent of Bay Rum! It is such an old school smell of a barber shop. We actually use Bay Rum on every customer after we clean the nape with the straight edge. Just about every customer remarks how that is their favorite part of the haircut. So, if I had a beard I would apply this argan oil based beard oil liberally!
Aside from the great scent, the mix of argan oil with jojoba oil and coconut oil will hydrate your beard hair and skin and soften it up. Leaving it looking full and healthy.
The argan oil will also clear up split ends if your beard has them. Which most beards do unless you are trimming it regularly. For when you are trying to grow your beard long and don't want to take the beard trimmers to it, you need an argan oil based beard oil like this one to keep it healthy.
The Gentleman Beard Sandalwood Beard Oil and Conditioner
As with the last review of the Gentleman's Beard Bay Rum Beard Oil, this sandalwood scented one is great. The scent is subtle and not overpowering. And as with the Bay Rum version, this beard oil is argan oil based and has no parabens or sulfates. Stay away from beard products with harsh chemicals and your beard and skin will thank you.
If you have sensitive skin or any acne under that beard, then you really need to try one of their beard oils. As I have repeatedly said, the argan oil will leave your beard soft and healthy. The addition of evening primrose oil also aids in keeping your skin healthy and can help clear up psoriasis and dermatitis. If beardDruff is your problem, then you really shouldn't wait long to order this beard oil.
The benefits of using the Gentleman's Beard products really goes beyond just trying to soften up your beard or have a great smelling beard. Your body will appreciate what you are doing for it by using these products.
The Original Beardsman Fragrance Free Beard Oil and Conditioner
If you have been growing your beard for more than a few weeks then you are surely no stranger to beard itch. Just about every guy goes through it. The only guys who don't are using a beard oil and especially one with argan oil.
There really is no reason to not use a beard oil like this one from the Original Beardsman. And this beard oil is fragrance free. If you are sensitive to scents in your hair and beard products but want the benefits of the essential oils for your beard, then try this one out.
It's a 100% natural beard care product which will help you get through that itchy period and leave your beard soft and your skin smooth because of the argan oil.
A big bottle means it will last you a very long time. You still don't need to apply too much to get that soft and manageable beard and get rid of that beardruff if you have any.
Wild Willie's Organic Beard Elixir
In addition to the argan oil in this beard elixir that promotes hair cell growth and restores your skin, there is vitamin E added which stimulates the hair follicles. The theory is that your beard will grow faster with a lot of vitamin E.
So, if your beard is slow to grow, you might want to try this beard elixir from Wild Willie's. It's not just a beard oil that is meant to soften the beard and condition the skin, though it does do that, but it also handles growing out your beard in a healthy way.
It will condition and soften your beard leaving it much healthier looking than before. It's 100% organic and natural so you can feel good about putting it on your face.
It's fragrance free, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have a scent. That just means that they don't add any kind of perfume to it. It does have a scent from the carrier oils, but it should not overwhelm you at all. It almost has a nutty smell to it.
Beardoholic Premium Quality Beard Oil and Softener
Here is another argan oil based beard oil that is 100% natural. No parabens, no harsh chemicals.
It will condition your beard leaving it soft and shiny, but you really need to try this if your beard does not grow in very thick. The essential oils in the beard oil will stimulate the pores to get your hair growing thicker. It repairs the beard hair itself leaving it plumper which also makes your beard look thicker.
Some beard oils that promote thicker beards can be a bit harsh on the skin, but the argan oil makes sure it is gentle even on sensitive skin.
This is fragrance free, but does have a scent. They use pine oil to give it a woodsy smell. Once again, some people like the smell and some don't. If the sensation of walking through a pine forest is something you and your partner would enjoy then you will like this beard oil. otherwise, check out one of the other unscented oils that I reviewed earlier.
Rugged Roots Beard Oil
Sometimes your beard might not grow in the way you expect and you get some ingrown hairs. This is especially a problem for African and Middle Eastern men since the beard grows in very curly. To prevent that, Rugged Roots developed this beard oil with grapeseed oil to clean your pores and stop the ingrown hairs.
Argan oil and jojoba oil really do a great job of nourishing your skin and beard hair leaving it much stronger and healthier.
It's unscented and fragrance free, but since there is some scent from the blend of essential oils, you might pick up a subtle smell. Nothing too strong or perfumey, however.
There are tons more beard oils and beard balms out there made from argan oil, but this list I think summarizes what they are all about. You won't go wrong trying any one of these beard products.
If you are growing a beard, don't just let it grow and think that that is enough. You really do need to maintain it by using these all natural beard oils. But it doesn't stop there. Read my article on How To Maintain Your Beard for tips on beard shampoos and conditioners as well as beard brushes and beard trimmers.
One product I forgot to mention that you really need if you have a long beard is a wooden beard comb
. The reason it's important to use a wooden comb is to prevent static so your beard lies down.
If you or a loved one is suffering from a rough looking, scraggly overgrown beard, then get one of these beard products and make sure you spread the word!
